Mia Rose Lynne
Mia Rose Lynne
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Mia Rose Lynne has been likened to artists such as Alison Krauss, Joni Mitchell, and Patty Griffin. Her songwriting has won numerous awards, including the 2017 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition, 2017 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase Contest, and the 2014 American Songwriting Awards, folk category. A northern California native, Mia grew up singing harmonies in the family western swing band and fell asleep in the Winnebago on summer nights to the sounds of campsite jamming at bluegrass festivals. She went on to pursue a career in musical theatre, touring nationally and internationally, and along the way, she found herself in Nashville, where her love for roots music resurfaced and the songs began to write themselves. Mia has two all-original albums out: Follow Me Moon (2016), engineered by Grammy® Award-winning Tim Roberts, and Open Space (2014), featuring legendary bluegrass fiddler Stuart Duncan.
"Mia Rose Lynne is a great example of the artists in Nashville these days who are making a living at more progressive musical crafts, not just watered-down pop-country, but at various art forms that can take them places they never dreamed of. And while so many, while well-intentioned, are pie-in-the-sky dreamers, Lynne is the real deal, a triple threat who can write, play, and sing just about anything for a living while being able to specialize in a folk/bluegrass/acoustic music style that fits her to a T."

"Combine that lyrical skill with a superb singing voice and you begin to understand why comparisons to Alison Krauss, Joni Mitchell and Patty Griffin are so justified. This is wonderful."
-Folk Radio UK
“Original Americana-style songs that come at romantic relationships with honesty, wit and none of the tropes and cliches that lesser songwriters so often fall back on. Lynne brings life experience without sounding world weary, sincerity without self importance.”
-Paul Liberatore, Marin Independent Journal [ FOLLOW ME MOON ]
